Smirk ("the Service") is a tool for creating fictional, animated chat conversations and exporting them as video, for entertainment, storytelling and creative work. By using the Service you agree to these terms.
You may use the Service to create fictional and dramatised content. You may not use it to deceive, defraud or harm anyone. In particular, you must not use the Service to create: fake evidence of real conversations; fake testimonials, reviews or endorsements; content that impersonates a real person without their consent; content for scams, harassment, defamation or any unlawful purpose. Do not upload a photo of a real person as a cast avatar without that person's consent. We may block access for misuse.
You own the scripts you write and the videos you export, and you are solely responsible for them and for how you use them, including compliance with the rules of any platform you publish them on and with applicable law (including advertising and consumer-protection rules on fake testimonials, and the privacy rights of anyone whose name or photo you include).
You can use the Service without an account, a project you save or share is stored under an anonymous device session. You may optionally sign in with Google to keep your projects synced across devices; doing so links that Google identity to your existing anonymous session, as described in our Privacy Policy. A share link is accessible to anyone who has the exact link; it is not listed publicly or indexed. You can permanently delete your account and everything stored under it at any time from Settings, see "Delete my data" in the Privacy Policy.
Smirk is an independent tool. It is not affiliated with, sponsored or endorsed by WhatsApp or Meta Platforms, Inc., Telegram FZ-LLC, Apple Inc., Google LLC, or OpenAI. WhatsApp, Telegram, iMessage, Android Messages, ChatGPT and all related names and logos are trademarks of their respective owners. The chat styles produced by the Service are illustrative recreations used for fictional storytelling, not for fabricating evidence, testimonials, reviews, or any other misuse described in Section 1.
The Service is provided without warranties of any kind, to the maximum extent permitted by law. We are not liable for any loss arising from your use of the Service or from content you create with it. We may change, suspend or discontinue the Service (or any part of it) at any time, including during the free beta.
